Veidekke to Renew Railway Tracks for Bane NOR
Norway, Jan. 21 -- Today Veidekke has signed a contract with Bane NOR to carry out track renewal on five sections across three regions in Eastern Norway. The contract is a construction contract valued at NOK 460 million excluding VAT, plus options. The track renewal works will take place on segments of the Roros Line, the Dovre Line, the Gardermoen Line (Romeriksporten tunnel), the Upper Main Line and the Gjovik Line. In total, the contract includes the replacement of 46 kilometres of tracks, the addition of approximately 90,000 tonnes of ballast, and the replacement of more than 75,000 railway sleepers.
