Lao Peoples Democratic Republic, Jan. 9 -- On January 9, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) in the capital city Vientiane, to provide grant aid for the Project for the Improvement of the Referral Hospital in the Southern Region. The signatures were exchanged between Director General Vongkhamheng Vongthachack, Department of International Finance and Cooperation, Ministry of Finance, Lao PDR and Chief Representative Kobayashi Miyako of JICA Laos.The Project aims to improve medical facilities and equipment at Champasak Provincial Hospital, which serves as the regional referral hospital for the southern region of Lao PDR.
