Norway, Jan. 23 -- Scatec ASA, a leading renewable energy solutions provider has been awarded a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tunisian state utility Societe Tunisienne de l'Electricite et du Gaz (STEG) for a 120 MW solar power plant (Tataouine) in Tunisia. The PPA was awarded in a government tender to support Tunisia's ambitious renewable energy targets and enhancing the country's energy security. The total capital expenditure (capex) for the project is estimated at EUR 80 million and will be financed by a combination of non-recourse debt and equity.
