Germany, Feb. 5 -- RWE has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the discount supermarket Lidl GB. The five-year agreement, which has already begun, covers an annual electricity supply of 100 gigawatt hours (GWh). This accounts for just over 15% of Lidl GB's national electricity requirements. The electricity will be generated by RWE's Gwynt y Mor offshore wind farm, which is located in the Irish Sea.
