Italy, Feb. 11 -- Fincantieri and Generative Bionics have launched a four-year industrial programme to develop and deploy a humanoid welding robot for use alongside workers in the group's shipyards, according to Fincantieri. The project centres on integrating the Italian yard's industrial know-how with Generative Bionics' autonomous humanoid robotic platform, with on-site testing scheduled by the end of 2026 at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente facility.The site will act as the reference yard for industrial validation and certification of the system.
