Italy, April 16 -- ACCIONA Energia has signed bilateral agreements totaling 800GWh of renewable energy to support the decarbonization of multiple energy-intensive industrial clients in Italy, including steel producer Acciaierie Venete.The contracts have been signed under Italy's Energy Release 2.0 mechanism, managed by the Italian public entity Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE) and designed to accelerate the deployment of new renewable capacity by linking industrial electricity demand with the development of new generation assets.Under this mechanism, energy-intensive industries will purchase renewable energy for three years at a fixed price of €65/MWh through the GSE.
