NEW DELHI, May 15 -- nThe Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has started constructing four 'underground reservoirs' (UGR) and Booster Pumping Stations (BPS) which will improve water supply to the residents of West Kamal Vihar, Bijwasan, Mahipalpur, Rangpuri, Mundka, Karawal Nagar, Mustafabad, parts of Vikaspuri and Nangloi Jat constituency.
With 39.18 MGD supply capacity, theses UGR-BPS and expected to be completed by the end of September, a senior DJB official said.
A 26.80 Million Litres (ML) capacity UGR will be constructed at Sonia Vihar, 29.50 ML capacity UGR at Mundka, a 3.0 ML capacity UGR at Mahipalpur and another UGR at West Kamal Vihar will be constructed with each reservoir will also have a booster pumping station, he said.
