Ranchi, June 5 -- Renowned gynaecologist of Eastern India Dr. Shobha Chakraborty today breathed her last in Ranchi following a brief illness. Dr. Chakraborty was unwell for some time and was undergoing treatment in the hospital. Recently, former Union Minister Arjun Munda visited the hospital to inquire about her health.
There is a wave of mourning in the medical world due to her death. She breathed her last at the age of 85.
Dr. Chakraborty dedicated her entire life to women's health. She made her mark as a reliable and respected doctor in Ranchi. About seven years ago, she had a heart attack, after which she was admitted to Medica Hospital.
