Bhopal, June 19 -- Aishbagh Police have swiftly apprehended a man identified as Atiq Ali, a resident of Ashoka Garden, in connection with the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a minor girl. The case came to light on June 13, 2025, after the victim's father lodged a complaint, reporting that his daughter had been lured away.
Following the father's report, police promptly registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Section 137(2). After successfully rescuing the minor girl, investigators subsequently added charges of rape under BNS Section 64(2)(L)/87, along with relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
