India, May 24 -- Former DIG Sanjay Ranjan Singh has lived a life of diverse experiences.
The man who once missed UPSC because he couldn't face the interview, joined the Bihar police as a DSP and later became an IPS officer. His career even included a tenure as the producer of All India Radio. A poet, a playwright, and a politician - he is the jack of all trades.
An IPS officer from the 2009 batch, Sanjay Ranjan Singh was earlier posted as the commandant in the Indian Reserve Battalion, Chaibasa. After his tenure as the deputy Inspector General, the State Police Headquarters appointed him to the post of Deputy Director General at the Jharkhand Police Academy.
