India, Nov. 29 -- Bandhu Maan Singh Sekhon, a 28-year-old Ludhiana resident accused of planning and coordinating all three firing attacks on Kapil Sharma's Kap's Cafe in Canada, has been arrested by Delhi Police. The Crime Branch apprehended him on the night of November 24-25 after intelligence indicated he had slipped back into Punjab to evade a Canadian police crackdown.

The arrest gives Indian investigators their first direct link to the Canada-based Goldy Dhillon gang, which had publicly claimed responsibility for the shootings. DCP (Crime Branch) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said Sekhon was a key planner behind the shooting at Kap's Cafe in Surrey. His arrest is a breakthrough against organised crime with

international links.
