Bhopal, June 18 -- The State Cabinet on Tuesday took several significant decisions to strengthen the administrative and developmental framework of the state. Among the key approvals was the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Promotion Rules, 2025, aimed at ensuring representation and safeguarding the interests of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) while enhancing administrative efficiency.
The new promotion rules provide for 20 percent reservation for STs and 16 percent for SCs. They also make room for merit-based promotions and introduce advance Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs), allowing selection lists for next year's vacancies to be prepared in the current year itself.
