Manila, Feb. 5 -- The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) has started engaging the youth sector in various provinces across the region and encouraging them to become advocates for peace.
In an interview on Wednesday, PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon said the initiative is part of the Kabataan Kontra Kriminalidad (KKK) program to involve young people, including members of the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT), out-of-school youth, Muslim youth, and indigenous peoples (IP) youth, in crime prevention efforts.
"It aims to foster a sense of responsibility, awareness, and partnership between law enforcement and the youth," Dizon said.
