Manila, July 14 -- The 14th WorldSkills ASEAN on Aug. 26-28 will include the collaborative robot (cobot) system integration for the first time in the list of skills competition, a participant from the Philippines said on Monday.

"In collaborative robot, we are applying the installation, the programming and connection of collaborative robots into larger automated systems. That way, every cobot could be used safely alongside with humans," Gea Ann Rose Dono, participant from the Southern Institute of Maritime Study, said during the Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon interview over PTV.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) also confirmed that it is the first time this specific skills area was included the WorldSkills ASEAN....
