Manila, Dec. 10 -- Malacanang on Wednesday said Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte should inform his constituents about his planned two-month personal trip abroad.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stressed that while Duterte's travel to 17 countries is personal and not officially sanctioned, public servants like him are expected to serve even when on leave.
"Nais niyang magbiyahe. May pera siya. 17 countries. Nasa kanya po 'yun (He wants to travel. He has the money. Seventeen countries. That is his choice)," Castro said in a Palace press briefing.
