Manila, July 14 -- The Department of Migrant Workers has assured full government support to the family of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who died due to severe injuries from an Iranian missile attack that hit a city in Israel on June 15.

In a statement on Sunday evening, the DMW expressed its deepest sympathy to the family of Leah Mosquera, who worked as a caregiver.

"In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the DMW-OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration), in partnership with the PHL (Philippine) Embassy in Tel Aviv-DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs), shall defray expenses related to OFW Leah's return and burial," the statement read.
