Manila, Jan. 27 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Bicol (DSWD-5), through its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), delivered essential assistance to families affected by fires in various areas of the Bicol provinces over the weekend.
In a report on Monday, DSWD-Bicol said five families affected by separate fire incidents in Iriga City, Camarines Sur, and Legazpi City, Albay, received food packs and non-food items valued at PHP60,000.
The fires displaced four families in Iriga City and one family in Legazpi City, destroying their homes and belongings.
DSWD-Bicol extended aid to the affected families currently staying at the barangay multi-purpose hall.
