Manila, Feb. 28 -- Mindanao and other areas will continue to experience rains on Friday.

Scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies will prevail across Mindanao, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said flash floods or landslides are possible in those areas due to moderate to heavy rains.

Isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will be experienced across Cagayan Valley, the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, and Central Luzon.

The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
