Manila, July 2 -- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said Wednesday it has implemented the use of the digital safety reports portal effective July 1, to streamline the reporting of safety occurrences and support the timely identification and mitigation of aviation safety risks.

The use of the portal promotes transparency and information sharing, CAAP added.

In a news release, the CAAP said the mandate was issued in accordance with the Philippine Civil Aviation Regulations (PCAR) and applies to all organizations, personnel, and individuals involved in reporting safety-related events to CAAP.
