Manila, Feb. 5 -- Learners from three public schools in Albay took part in the World Read Aloud Day celebration through their Albay Provincial Library and Information Center (APLIC) on Wednesday.

Students, parents, and teachers from Albay Central School, Bagumbayan Central School, and EM's Barrio Elementary School attended the event held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall.

Acting Vice Governor Rey Bragais, during the event, emphasized the importance of reading, saying that it allows people, especially students, to learn new things and broaden their imagination.

"[Reading] will also transport you to other places. I encourage all students to study hard, as it will help you achieve your goals in the future," he said.
