LEGAZPI CITY, Dec. 4 -- Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr. has resigned as a member of the Commission on Appointments (CA).
In a statement posted on his social media Thursday, Garbin said he would like to take on a more independent role in Congress.
"This decision comes from a sense of personal conviction and a continued commitment to public service, not from any disagreement, resentment, or political discord. For me, public service has always been about responsibility, accountability, and honest engagement in nation-building. These values remain unchanged," he said.
Garbin said he has not committed any wrongdoing and that he remains guided by the trust placed in him by the people he serves.
