Manila, Jan. 17 -- AirAsia Philippines announced assured Friday it is ready to accommodate an estimated 150,000 passengers heading to Aklan for the Ati-Atihan Festival.

AirAsia serves Aklan province with three daily flights via Kalibo and nine daily via Caticlan.

"We take pride in supporting tourism, trade and overall economic development in the Western Visayas Region," AirAsia Philippines chief executive officer Ricky Isla said in a statement.

The low-cost airline's passengers to and from Aklan reached 1.3 million in 2024, making the province a key route in the airline's growth.
