LEGAZPI CITY, Dec. 6 -- The Office of Civil Defense in Bicol (OCD-5) reported on Saturday that 96 families or 275 individuals, have sought shelter in evacuation centers as continuous rains from Tropical Depression Wilma and the shearline affect the region.

OCD-5 spokesperson Gremil Alexis Naz said most of the evacuees are from Masbate, with 92 families (262 individuals), while the remaining four are from Catanduanes (13 individuals).

Meanwhile, 4,142 passengers remained stranded in multiple ports -- 3,550 passengers in Sorsogon, 369 in Masbate, 216 in Albay, and seven in Camarines Norte.

A total of 1,132 rolling cargoes, two vessels, and two motorbancas were also unable to travel due to rough sea conditions.
