Fiji, Sept. 26 -- The President of the Federated States of Micronesia, David W. Panuelo has met with President Donald Trump in New York on the margins of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The two leaders meet on Tuesday evening at a reception hosted by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in New York.
President Panuelo thanked the U.S President for the visit of the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo on 05 August to discuss the renewal of the expiring provisions of the Compact of Free Association, as Amended. President Trump reiterated that the FSM and the U.S. are the closest of allies, and if given the opportunity he would enjoy visiting the FSM one day.
