Bhubaneswar, Feb. 21 -- Speculation is rife among several fans and experts that veteran batsman Rohit Sharma will announce his retirement from international cricket after the completion of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Many experts are advocating for young guns Shubman Gill or Hardik Pandya to be next ODI captain of Team India.

However, legendry spinner and former India Test captain Anil Kumble feels that premier speedster Jasprit Bumrah is an automatic choice for Team India ODI captaincy despite his frequent injury issues.

According to Kumble, the ODI format is getting extinct, and thus Bumrah should be looked at as a captaincy choice.
