Bhubaneswar, Aug. 11 -- In a bizarre incident, a youth was reportedly murdered by his friends for a Hanuman coin in Deogarh. On Tuesday, the Deogarh police arrested four accused - Bishnu Kishan, Surendra Majhi, Ratani Kishan and Pradeep Majhi - in connection with the murder.
The incident had occurred near Raital area in Deogarh district. The accused had allegedly murdered Krushna Kishan in a planned manner after he refused to hand over the Hanuman coin that was in his possession.
According to the police, the group of men took Krushna to a secluded place on the outskirts of his village and attacked him with a sturdy stick. The body of the deceased was later thrown near an electric power transformer in the village, to give it an impressio...
