Bargarh, Aug. 4 -- With an aim to strengthen technical education and facilitate skill-training needs of local youths, Odisha Government has sanctioned the establishment of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Bijepur block of Bargarh district. A notification in this regard was recently issued by the Skill Development and Technical Education Department.
Speculations are rife that such announcement has been made keeping in view the upcoming by-election in Bijepur.
Earlier on May 30, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced Rs 1,330 crore package for Bijepur. Patnaik, who had successfully contested the 2019 elections from Hinjili and Bijepur, had subsequently vacated the Bijepur seat.
