A serious allegation has emerged from Khariar Sub-Divisional Hospital in Nuapada district involving a case of medical negligence. It has been alleged that instead of administering an injection meant for a malaria-affected child, a nurse of the hospital wrongly administered it to the mother.
According to reports, Raju Tandi from Bara village under Khariar block had brought his malaria-affected two-year-old son for treatment at the hospital. After consulting paediatrician Dr. Mahendra Majhi, the doctor prescribed a paracetamol injection for the child.
