India, March 11 -- Amidst the ongoing din in Odisha Assembly, Speaker Surama Padhy on Tuesday suspended Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati for unruly behaviour.

The Congress MLA has been placed under suspension for seven days.

The Odisha Assembly Speaker took the action following repeated disruptions caused by the Congress MLA in the House.

On Monday, Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati allegedly broke the podium microphone inside the Assembly, creating chaos.

Despite warnings, the MLA allegedly continued his disruptive behaviour on Tuesday as well.
