Bhubaneswar, Feb. 17 -- Despite being snubbed by the BCCI selectors for a long time, veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane is still hopeful of making a comeback to the Indian team.

The 36-year-old cricketer last played for India in the West Indies almost two years ago. Though the national selectors seem to have moved on from the veteran cricketer, he still believes that he has it in him to contribute to the national side.

"There is still fire and passion in me. I'm playing Ranji Trophy at the moment, trying to give my all to the Mumbai team. The goal is clear to make another comeback," said Rahane.
