Hong Kong, April 3 -- The New Zealand government has provided a standby loan facility to Air NZ of up to NZ$900 million (US$5.364 million). The facility will be in two parts: one tranche of NZ$600 million with an effective interest rate ranging from 7% to 8% a year and a second tranche of NZ$300 million with an interest rate initially forecast to be 9% per annum, Air NZ said on March 20. The facility will be available for 24 months.
