Youth shot dead by Maoists in Odisha over police informer suspicion
Nabarangpur, Feb. 12 -- A youth was allegedly shot dead by Maoists at Venas village under Raighar block of Odisha's Nabarangpur district last night over suspicion of being a police informer.
According to reports, a group of armed Maoists took Tunu Ganda, the deceased youth, to the village outskirts and murdered him by firing at him.
Before fleeing the place, the extremists left a letter at the spot mentioning that they killed Ganda as he was providing information to police regarding presence and movement of Maoists.
Police have recovered the body, seized the letter and started investigation into the incident.
