GUWAHATI, Aug. 10 -- In a significant move, the Assam Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has approved the inclusion of 19 villages into the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) as part of the 2020 Bodo Accord.
This decision, made during a Assam Cabinet meeting, marks a key step in fulfilling the commitments outlined in the Bodo Accord.
The decision to incorporate these villages into the BTR aligns with the broader goals of the 2020 Bodo Accord, which seeks to address the aspirations of the Bodo people and enhance the governance and development framework in the region.
