INDIA, Dec. 4 -- The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in Assam has decided to begin the appointment of teachers to 984 vacant posts in lower and upper primary schools, a major announcement made by Education Department Executive Member Rabiram Narzary after the BTC's winter session concluded on Wednesday.

Narzary confirmed that the Finance Department has already cleared the proposal, enabling the recruitment process to move forward. A dedicated selection committee has been set up, and the council plans to start issuing appointments from January 22 next year.

Once the primary-level recruitment is completed, the BTC will release another notification for 901 vacant positions meant for graduate and postgraduate teachers. According to Narza...
