New Delhi, May 8 -- Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah chaired a high-level security review meeting in New Delhi with Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of Indian states and Union Territories bordering Pakistan and Nepal. The meeting was held in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and the subsequent military response under Operation Sindoor.

The meeting, convened to assess border security preparedness and national coordination, was attended virtually by the Lieutenant Governors of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and West Bengal, as well as a representative from the Sikkim government.
