The Acropolis of Athens turns in to winter wonderland due to unusual snowfall
New Delhi, Feb. 18 -- Athens has been transformed into a winter wonderland on Tuesday after a thick sheet of white snow had covered the momentous Acropolis and a few antiquated monuments in Athens.
The unusual snowfall has affected and stopped the COVID-19 immunization program in the Greek capital and halted public vehicles. Likewise, various mountainside areas endured power shutdown, while parts of the main highway in the capital city were also shut.
The natural hillside of the Acropolis is thirteenth-century architecture and a UNESCO world heritage site. The stunning temples were constructed back in the fifth century BC.
