New Delhi, Oct. 12 -- The Supreme Court of India has reserved its verdict regarding the sale of green crackers in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) during Diwali.

However, Chief Justice of India BR Gavai and Justice K Vinod Chandran hinted at providing relaxation regarding their sale during the festive time.

Earlier, on September 26, the apex court had permitted certified manufacturers to produce green firecrackers, with the condition that they would not sell them in the restricted Delhi-NCR region without prior approval.
