New Delhi, June 13 -- Satya Sharma and Sunder Singh, both affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been elected as chairperson and deputy chairperson of the standing committee of Municipal Cooperation of Delhi (MCD).

The Standing Committee, which approves civic projects above Rs.5 crore, had been dormant since the 2022 elections. Its reconstitution is vital for clearing long-pending infrastructure, sanitation, and development projects
