New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- Rekha Gupta will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta was chosen to be the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislative party. The Delhi BJP said in a statement that "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Mrs. Rekha Gupta ji on being elected the leader of the Delhi BJP Legislative Party. We have full faith that the state will progress under your leadership."

Rekha Gupta is the fourth female CM of Delhi and 8th overall to hold this office. A member of Legislative Assembly from Shalimar Bagh, she is a former general secretary and president of Delhi University Students Union, a member of national executive of the party and general secretary of Delhi state unit of the party.
