New Delhi, Jan. 10 -- Delhi Legislative Speaker Vijender Gupta said thatFIR registered by the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate over an alleged doctored video of Atishi,MLAand Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha,asa case of breach of privilege of the House.

In a statement, Vijender Gupta said the issue was raised in the Assembly by MLA Abhay Verma, who argued that the videoon the basis ofwhich the FIR was registered in Punjab was recorded inside the Delhi Assembly and therefore constitutes official property of the House. Gupta asserted that any action taken on such a recording, including the registration of an FIR and calling it "tampered",amounts to a serious violation of the Assembly's privileges.
