New Delhi, April 18 -- The trade war triggered by former US President Donald Trump's tariff policies has fueled significant uncertainty, not just about the US economy, but about global economic growth as well. The situation is so unpredictable that even the US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell appears to be clueless about the impact of Trump's tariff policies on the world's largest economy.

Reuters quoted Powell describing the US administration's tariff plans as "fundamental changes," which offer little historical precedent for businesses or economists to model.
