New Delhi, Jan. 9 -- Vodafone Idea on Friday said the department of telecommunications (DoT) has frozen the company's adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues as of December end over a period of six years.

The order, providing temporary relief to the stressed telecom operator, includes the principal, interest and penalties. As of December end, the company's AGR dues were at Rs.87,695 crore.

Based on the freeze, the telecom company's annual outgo towards AGR payments over the next six years from March 2026 to March 2031 would be at Rs.744 crore, a maximum of Rs.124 crore per year.
