New Delhi, March 22 -- Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, has stated that the key obstacle to resolving the war between Ukraine and Russia is the status of Crimea, the Donetsk People's Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
"The so-called four regions: Donbas, Crimea, you know the names, Luhansk and there's two others," Witkoff told US reporter Tucker Carlson in an interview.
Witkoff highlighted the role of referendums held in these regions, stating that the majority of people voted to be under Russian rule.
