Blood donation turns fatal in Tripura, more proficient para-medico should man the camp
Shillong, Dec. 5 -- The jinx about blood donation has somehow been eradicated, but there are individual who are either having a phobia of needles or the color of blood and it is impossible to convince them for the noble cause. A section of the sensitized population who understand the important of saving lives are voluntary donating blood, unknowing their noble gestures could be catastrophic. Like in the case of a young jawan from the elite Tripura State Rifles (TSR), 41 years old Dulal Sarkar, died after donating blood at a voluntary blood donation camp organised by Fifth Battalion of the TSR, in Southern Tripura on November 25, 2019.
