Shimla, Feb. 6 -- North India's first green hydrogen plant broke ground in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday as Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the pioneering 1 megawatt facility in Dabhota, Nalagarh Tehsil of Solan district.

The Rs 9.04 crore project is being developed through a collaboration between Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) and Oil India Limited.

During the ceremony, Sukhu emphasised the project's significance in the state's renewable energy ambitions, directing officials to complete construction within one year.
