Afghanistan, Oct. 24 -- Pakistan's hopes were dashed as the global watchdog on terror financing and money laundering FATF ruled against taking Pakistan off the grey list.

The decision was taken on Friday during the virtual plenary meeting of the FATF.

Despite many efforts, Pakistan has not been able to get out of the grey list, according to FATF, Pakistan had not met the conditions for removing the country from the gray list and was once again on the list.

FATF said in a statement, that Pakistan had complied with 21 of its 28 conditions.

Pakistan has long been accused of supporting terrorist groups and has repeatedly denied such allegations.
