Afghanistan, Sept. 12 -- The central bank of Afghanistan-De Afghanistan Bank- in a new directive said that those who transfer money to Afghanistan should be conducted in local currency-Afghani- only.

The bank sources have told Reuters that based on the directive, all the private banks are prohibited to receive money by any other currency including dollars.

It is worth mentioning that, those who have transferred dollars prior to the directive can receive dollars.

Reuters citing the sources said that the decision has been taken so that the central bank can save enough amount of US dollars which has been less currently.
