Srinagar, Jan. 26 -- Police on Tuesday used teargas and lathi charge as thousands of farmers, protesting against the newly framed three laws by the central government, marched towards Delhi to take out a proposed tractor rally on the Republic Day.

Reports reaching news agency KNS that farmers marched towards Delhi amid huge presence of police at Delhi border, leading to huge chaos on the border.

They said that the police used teargas shells and lathi charge on the protesting farmers, who did not relent, breaking the police barricades and carried forward their march towards Delhi to take out proposed tractor rally.
