Srinagar July 6, July 6 -- Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq today addressed the faithful at Alam Sahib Narwara on the solemn occasion of Youm-e-Ashoora.

In his sermon, Mirwaiz highlighted the deep Islamic significance of Youm-e-Ashoora. He then elaborated on the historic incident of Karbala and paid glorious tributes to Imam Alee Maqam Imam Hussain (RA) and his loyal companions who laid down their lives while upholding the principles of truth, justice and dignity.
