Srinagar, Oct. 13 -- North Kashmir Football Premier League is conducted annually by Bandipora Rashtriya Rifles in the memory of Maj Gopi Singh Rathore, Shaurya Chakra. Over the past two decades, this tournament has grown into one of the most prestigious sporting events of North Kashmir, with participation rising manifold and showcasing the boundless passion of Kashmiri youth for football as a sports.

Due to the popularity and to cover complete North Kashmir, Thisyear the tournament was conducted in two phases. The matches drew large local spectators and created a festive sporting spirit. The best two teams from each sector were selected for the phase II.
